Start of production | Serbia Site
We are very proud to announce the start of production at our new plant in Serbia!
In the construction period of only 18 months, the Vorwerk & Sohn group has invested over 60 million euros and built the most modern plant in the group. The modern machinery and equipment as well as the longest extrusion line in Europe form the heart of the plant on a built-up area of more than 45,000 m².
Within the final stages of the project, we planned to inaugurate the new site with a grand opening in late spring, but due to the worldwide spread of the coronavirus we had to postpone the opening.
Finally, in June, the production start was conducted within a ceremonious atmosphere. As a special guest of honor we were able to welcome the Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić in Čačak. The event was completed by the presence of the local politicians, dignitaries and business partners, as well as numerous media representatives from all over Europe.
We would like to thank all employees, friends and partners for their great achievements, which made it possible to complete the work in the shortest possible time. We look forward to a promising future in Čačak, Serbia!
